Outdoor leisure in Vilanova i la Geltrú

The adventure and sea activities center RocRoi – Vilanova combines all these elements to offer a quality experience available to all audiences. The nautical base located on the coast of Garraf, is located in an idyllic and practical space both for its proximity to Barcelona and for the tranquility of its surroundings.

On the one hand, Vilanova i la Geltrú is located 40 kilometers from the Catalan capital, so it concentrates both a great sporting and tourist attraction along its beaches while renouncing the bustle that does occur in Barcelona. On the other hand, the coastal town is very well connected to both Barcelona and El Prat Airport, which favors the arrival of international visitors, from Erasmus students who are in Barcelona, to families and travelers living abroad.

This mix of tranquility and quality is offered by RocRoi with a wide range of activities and services. Whether sea kayaking expeditions, paddle surfing, sailing trips or renting a catamaran from 4 people or excursions in BIG SUP, skate or windsurf, you can enjoy the most demanded activities on the beaches while sightseeing in the area. Thus, for the most demanding adventurers we offer exclusive activities that fit your needs or requests.

“We take care of the transfer from the airport to Vilanova in a private car or cab and the service always ends with a dinner at La Daurada Restaurant,” says Àngel Panicello, head of RocRoi in Vilanova i la Geltrú, regarding the service related to these exclusive activities. We offer these joint packs of unique experiences in the natural environment in addition to gastronomic or accommodation services thanks to agreements with high quality restaurants and hotels.

The following proposals stand out: a day at the beach on a kayak, paddle surfing or sailing activities. In addition, clients have access to a rice menu and cocktail service from a beach club while they take advantage of the sunny hours on the beach. Another of the most sought after experiences are guided sailing trips or catamaran with which to witness the views of the Garraf.

Cultural activities in Vilanova i la Geltrú

To the sports and leisure offer we must add the cultural aspect offered by the territory. In fact, the facilities of the Ribes Roges base, located just 100 meters from the sand of the beach and with an area of more than 1,000 square meters, is located on the same promenade of the Torre de Ribes Roges. This building represents a monument to maritime life.

Another point of interest of Vilanova i la Geltrú are the local festivities. Among them is the Festa Major de les Neus, celebrated since the seventeenth century with all kinds of parades, folk dances, concerts, ‘castells’ and ‘correfocs’. This festival dedicated to the Mare de Déu de les Neus, is held between the last week of July and the first week of August each year.
