4-Adventure Adrenaline Pack in Llavorsí: Rafting, Hydrospeed, Kayak and Canyoning in the Pyrenees
Llavorsí, Lleida
- Adventure level: from age 12, active fitness required
- 2, 3 or 4 days of adrenaline on the Noguera Pallaresa and the Congost de Collegats
- Four white-water and technical canyoning activities, one destination
The experience — Four times inside the river
Day one starts at the RocRoi base in Llavorsí and the Noguera Pallaresa is waiting. The Llavorsí to Rialp rafting is the benchmark descent of the Pallars Sobirà: progressive rapids, qualified guide and gear ready to get into the water with no prior experience. You come out soaked and with the group in sync. But this is just the start. Hydrospeed changes the register completely. You are no longer inside a raft: the board is pressed against your body, fins on your feet, and the Noguera Pallaresa decides how hard it pushes. The first kilometres are for reading the current from the inside. Then La Lavadora — class IV — arrives and decisions need making. The guide accompanies from a kayak, marking the line. The run ends at La Moleta, beside the mouth of the River Romadriu. Forty-five minutes that are felt in every muscle. But the most intense day is the Barranc de l'Infern. Thirty minutes' approach crossing the Noguera Pallaresa, then the canyon receives you: walls hemmed into the Congost de Collegats, limestone polished by water, abseils of 9, 22, 11 and 7 metres. There are natural slides. There is a cave halfway through where the light enters in a way you don't forget. And at the end the canyon spits you straight back into the Noguera Pallaresa. The Kayak Introduction closes the pack in another language. Individual kayak, guide alongside, paddle technique and current reading on the same river you have already descended two different ways. Here the goal is not speed — it is understanding the water from inside your own craft. Four activities. Four ways for the Noguera Pallaresa to remind you who is in charge. What the experience feels like

The 1h30 hydrospeed experience on the Noguera Pallaresa
The hydrospeed run from Yeti to Gulleri is the most demanding and complete descent the Noguera Pallaresa in Llavorsí has to offer. The experience starts at the RocRoi base, where you receive full kit — wetsuit, helmet, life jacket and fins — and a thorough technical briefing. The first few kilometres of calmer water allow you to settle your position, practise turning and understand how the hydroboard responds to each movement of your body.
Then the real river begins. La Lavadora and the Cuatro Largo are the two moments that define this experience: Class III and IV rapids where the current gathers all its power and you choose how to cut through it. The qualified guide accompanies you by kayak throughout the entire run, setting the optimal line and responding to every situation in real time.
The descent lasts approximately 90 minutes on the water, with a rest stop at La Moleta before the final section. Afterwards, the shuttle takes you back to the RocRoi base, where changing rooms with showers are waiting.

FAQs
Do I need prior experience for the 1h30 section?
Prior hydrospeed experience is not essential, but good physical fitness and confidence in the water are a real help. The technical briefing is thorough and the first few kilometres are designed to build your technique before the main rapids.
What happens if I let go of the hydroboard in a rapid?
This is a planned and controlled scenario. The high-buoyancy life jacket keeps you at the surface and the guide in the kayak reacts immediately. During the briefing you will learn the safety position (feet first) for floating through any section without the board in full control.
What is the best time of year for hydrospeed on the Noguera Pallaresa?
The season runs from March to October. May and June, with active snowmelt, offer the highest water levels and most powerful rapids. In July and August the river provides an optimal balance between excitement and water temperature.
How does this section differ from the 45-minute one?
The medium section (Yeti–Moleta) is ideal for beginners: accessible intensity, minimum age of 12 and a 45-minute duration. The long section (Yeti–Gulleri) doubles the distance and time on the water, adds Class IV rapids and is aimed at people with a sporting background looking for a more demanding, technical experience.
Is the equipment included in the price?
Yes. Wetsuit, certified helmet, life jacket, fins and hydroboard are all included. You only need to bring a swimsuit and, if you wish, a rash guard or thermal top to wear under the wetsuit.

FAQs
Is it suitable for someone who has never done hydrospeed before?
Yes — this is the section designed precisely for that. In 20 minutes you discover what hydrospeed is truly about: with a guide, full equipment and a run where the intensity is real but manageable from the very first moment.
How does this section differ from the 45-minute one?
The 20-minute section (La Moleta) is the most concentrated introduction: shorter distance, same excitement, ideal for those with limited time or who want to try the activity out. The 45-minute section (Yeti–Moleta) adds more kilometres with greater technical progression and includes the La Lavadora rapid. If you already know you want more, the long 1h30 section (Yeti–Gulleri) is the next step.
Can children take part?
Yes, from age 12 depending on water flow and the child's physical build. This is an accessible section for families.
What equipment does RocRoi provide?
Wetsuit, certified helmet, life jacket, fins and hydroboard. You only need to bring a swimsuit and, if you wish, a rash guard or thermal top to wear under the wetsuit.
Is it safe if the river is running high?
The activity always adapts to the day's water level. Qualified guides assess conditions before each outing and adjust the run accordingly to ensure safety at all times.

The 45-minute Noguera Pallaresa riverboarding experience
Riverboarding (also known as hidrospeed) on the Noguera Pallaresa is one of the most intense and authentic ways to experience the river. Here you are not a passenger: you navigate at water level with your own river board, propelling yourself with fins and making decisions on every section. The experience begins at the RocRoi Adventure Center in Llavorsí, where you will receive your full kit and a clear technical briefing. You will learn how to position yourself, read the current and react to the rapids.
After the transfer to the starting point, the first 2 km are calm waters, perfect for practising with confidence. The key moment arrives with "La Lavadora" (Class IV), a technical and powerful rapid that puts your reflexes to the test. Afterwards, the river opens up into a calmer section until finishing at La Moleta, where the Romadriu river joins.
The descent lasts about 45 minutes in the water on a progressive route. Throughout the activity, an expert guide accompanies you from a kayak, showing the line and ensuring every manoeuvre is safe. At the end, you return to the RocRoi activity centre to change and shower.
What the experience feels like

FAQs
Is this a good option for my first time?
Yes. It is the most balanced option: enough intensity to enjoy without being overwhelming. The progressive route allows you to practise before the larger rapids.
Is it harder than rafting?
Yes, it is more active. You participate directly in the descent by propelling yourself with fins, but you are always accompanied and guided by a professional in a kayak.
Do I need to be very fit?
You don't need a high athletic level, but you do need to be able to move easily, have generally good fitness and feel comfortable in the water.
What if I can't keep up?
The guide accompanying the group in a kayak adapts the descent to the participants' abilities and will help or give you directions at all times.
Is it safe?
Yes. Expert guides, CE-approved equipment (including helmet and buoyancy aid) and a route adapted to the water flow guarantee a fully controlled experience.

Hydrospeed Yeti–Gulleri (1 h 30) with Lunch | Noguera Pallaresa
Llavorsí, Lleida
Hydrospeed is not rafting with less protection — it is swimming the rapids with a buoyant board. 90 minutes in the Noguera Pallaresa, body-down from Yeti to Gulleri, through La Lavadora and the Cuatro Largo just centimetres from the current. It is the most physical activity we run in Llavorsí, and that is why this version includes a home-cooked lunch afterwards. It is not an add-on — it is what your body will demand.
Gear up in a reinforced wetsuit, get in the river, rest at La Moleta, get back in, exit at Gulleri and eat. Simple.
- Level 3 — Adventure: class III–IV rapids from age 14 with an accompanying adult
- Home-cooked set menu: starter + main + dessert + bread + water
- 1 h 30 swimming the river + La Moleta stop + lunch
📍 Meeting point: Ctra. de la Vall d'Àneu s/n, 25595 Llavorsí, Lleida, Spain – View on map
The experience — Hydrospeed Yeti–Gulleri with lunch in the Pallars Sobirà
Booking hydrospeed with lunch on the Noguera Pallaresa is not a gourmet add-on — it is acknowledging that after 90 minutes swimming class III–IV rapids in cold water, eating is not optional. This version covers the full day, with no question about what to do next.
The activity starts at the RocRoi base in Llavorsí. The team provides a reinforced long wetsuit, neoprene socks, neoprene shoes, helmet, buoyancy aid and the hydrospeed board. The specialist guide runs the briefing on dry land: position on the board, finning technique, reading the current and safety protocol for swimming inside a rapid. Then, transfer to the put-in at the Yeti sector, upstream of Llavorsí.
The kilometres to Gulleri are the most swum hydrospeed stretch in the Pyrenees. La Lavadora appears early — the rapid where the water churns over rock and the body learns to breathe in the right rhythm. Cuatro Largo strings together technical bends where reading the river decides whether you take the clean line or the rough water. Halfway down, a stop at La Moleta: five minutes to catch your breath, warm your hands and get back in with a clear head for the second half. You exit the river at Gulleri and return transport to the base is included.
And then comes what sets this booking apart. Back to base, hot shower, dry clothes, and a table waiting at a nearby restaurant. Home-cooked Pallars set menu: starter, main, dessert, bread and water. After 90 minutes in the river at 12–14 °C, it is not lunch — it is restoration. The adrenaline is still there, but now on dry land.
What the experience feels like
Couples: the most physical adventure activity you can share as a couple in the Pallars Sobirà. La Lavadora from inside the rapid, a breather at La Moleta, and a home-cooked lunch on return. A plan for couples who already know rafting and want the next level.
Groups of friends: 1 h 30 swimming the Noguera Pallaresa together, the Pallars rapids from the low angle, then lunch back at base. The plan for groups coming to the Pyrenees for real adrenaline who need the calories to close the day.
Solo adventurers: for anyone seeking the most physical water activity in the Catalan Pyrenees. Hydrospeed is swimming the rapids, and eating afterwards is part of the plan — not an optional extra.
What is included in the RocRoi experience?
- 9 km Yeti–Gulleri hydrospeed descent with specialist guide
- Full technical gear: reinforced long wetsuit, neoprene socks, neoprene shoes, CE-certified helmet, buoyancy aid, hydrospeed board, fins
- Safety and technique briefing before the descent
- Transfer from the Llavorsí base to the Yeti put-in
- Return transport from Gulleri to the Llavorsí base

Practical details

- Minimum age unaccompanied: 18
- Minimum age with an accompanying adult: 14
- Total duration: approximately 4 hours (descent + lunch + transfers)
- Actual descent time: approximately 90 minutes in the water
- Fitness: strong swimming and cardiovascular stamina for 90 min of sustained effort required. Limitations: not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, serious back problems or asthma; inform the guide of any allergies, phobias or physical limitations before starting
- Attitude: come fit, ready to be cold and knowing that lunch afterwards is part of the plan, not an indulgence.
Book your hydrospeed with a home-cooked lunch and close the day the way your body will demand.
FAQs
It's my first time doing hydrospeed — can I book the version with lunch?
Yes. The lunch version does not require previous hydrospeed experience, but it does require good fitness and strong swimming ability. The initial technical briefing teaches finning technique and how to read the current. What differs from the version without lunch is not the difficulty — it is that the day includes the gastronomic finish back at base.
Why include lunch in such a physical activity?
Out of real need, not marketing. 90 minutes swimming rapids in water at 12–14 °C burns a lot of calories and drops body temperature. The home-cooked lunch on return is not an optional extra — it is what the body needs to recover energy and warmth after the descent. That is why this version exists.
What does the home-cooked set menu include?
The menu includes a starter with 2 or 3 choices, a main course with the same variety, dessert, bread and water. It is home-cooked Pallars food with local produce. Wine and other drinks are not included but can be ordered separately. We cater for vegetarians, allergies and intolerances if notified in advance.
What is the difference from hydrospeed without lunch?
The technical activity is the same: Yeti–Gulleri, same gear, same guide, same rapids, same time in the water. The difference is how the day ends: the lunch version adds the home-cooked menu on return to base, with no need to drive off in search of a restaurant after the activity. It is the recommended option for groups and couples visiting from outside who don't know the Pallars restaurants.
Will I be very cold during the descent?
The reinforced long wetsuit, neoprene socks and neoprene shoes maintain body temperature throughout the descent. The stop at La Moleta halfway allows you to rest and warm your hands. Even so, hydrospeed is a cold activity by definition: it is not unpleasant if you are fit, but it is not for anyone looking for a gentle outing. For that we recommend rafting.

FAQs
Do I need prior experience for this package?
No. Both rafting and riverboarding include a full briefing before you start. However, it is essential to know how to swim and have normal physical fitness. For riverboarding, feeling comfortable in the water is recommended.
Can both activities be done on the same day?
Yes. The package is designed to be done in a single day or spread over two days if you prefer to pace the adventure. Let us know when booking so we can arrange the best schedule for your group.
When is the best time to do this package?
The season runs from March to October. In spring, with the snowmelt, the river is at its most exciting for riverboarding. In summer, the rafting mellows out and the water temperature is more pleasant: ideal for fully enjoying both activities.
What's the difference between rafting and riverboarding?
Rafting is a group activity: you paddle together in a raft following the guide's instructions. Riverboarding (hidrospeed) is individual: you descend the river body-to-body with a river board and fins, feeling the current directly. Two very different experiences on the same river.
Is the equipment included in the package price?
Yes. All the necessary gear for both activities is included: wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids/life jackets, paddles, fins and river boards. You only need a swimsuit and, if you wish, a thermal rash guard.
