What the experience feels like
Families: watching your children grip the rungs with determination and climb the rock with a smile is one of those moments you never forget — an activity that builds confidence and the spirit of achievement from age 8.
Couples: discovering something new together in the Pyrenees, moving at your own pace and celebrating each section as a shared milestone turns this via ferrata into much more than a hike.
Groups of friends: the moment someone in the group conquers the section that had them worried, and the whole crew cheers them on — that is exactly what defines a weekend in the Pyrenees.

Who can perform this activity
FAQs
Is the via ferrata safe if I have never done one before?
Yes. At all times you will be attached to the safety cable using an approved harness and energy absorber. The RocRoi certified guide delivers a full briefing before you set off and accompanies you throughout the K2-K3 route. This activity is designed precisely for people with no prior experience.
Can children take part? From what age?
Yes. This beginner via ferrata is designed for the whole family: children can take part from age 8 accompanied by a responsible adult. The guide adapts the pace to the group’s level and manages the activity so that younger participants enjoy the experience in complete safety.
What is the difference between this via ferrata and the intermediate K4 version?
The K2-K3 rating is the beginner version: shorter sections, less exposure and progression designed for first-timers. The K4 (intermediate level) is a more technically and physically demanding route with greater height and difficulty, recommended for people with experience or good fitness. If you are unsure which to choose, contact us before booking.
Can I take photos during the activity?
Yes, though safety always comes first. The guide will indicate the best moments and spots for photos without compromising the group’s progress. If you bring a camera or phone, make sure it is secured or stored in a closed bag.
What happens if someone in the group cannot finish the route?
No problem at all. The guide knows the route and can arrange a safe exit for the group if anyone needs to stop for any reason. The comfort and safety of all participants is always the priority.
