Sierra de las Nieves National Park: Family canyoning in Río Grande, Zarzalones

In the Barranco de los Zarzalones there is always plenty of water, depending on the time of the year, which allows you to be always swimming and jumping during the whole tour: but, you choose if you want to jump or not!

Itinerary

This canyon is located in the province of Malaga, next to the village of Yunquera. The descent consists of three rappel descents, one of 9, another of 24 and finally one of 19 meters. They are very accessible and considered of initiation. The approximate duration is 3 hours starting from our meeting point in Zarzalones, in the town of Yunquera in the Sierra de las Nieves. This experience allows you to enjoy nature in a different way, jumping, rappelling, descending water slides, overcoming natural obstacles along with a specialized guide. With the advice of the guide and the necessary equipment, you will discover this exciting sport in a fun and safe way. We want to spend with you a great day of unlimited fun and maximum safety!

Difficulty of the activity

  • Initiation level. Suitable from 8 years old *activity open to children from 8 years old if they have done before the multi-adventure circuit, otherwise they can do the canyoning from 10 years old.

What to bring

  • Footwear to get wet, sports type, preferably shoes that secure the ankle well to walk in the water and that are in good condition.
  • Swimsuit.
  • Towel.
  • Sun protection.
  • Change of clothes and backpack (supplies during the activity of descent of the ravine (water, juices, dried fruits, fruit, energy bars, etc.).
