Go on an adventure on this marine sailing trip! Join the Associació Cetàcea research team during 8 hours and take part in the project "PhotoIdentification: Whales and dolphins on the Catalan coast”, with the aim of studying them, getting to know them better and raising awareness of the importance of caring for the marine environment. Itinerary

Take part in a scientific sailing trip. The outing consists of a day’s sailing with a motor boat accompanied by expert scientists during a day of research along the Garraf coast.

The meeting time is at 7:45 a.m. at the captain’s tower of the Port of Sitges Aiguadolç and we will go to the sailing boat.

At the beginning of the outing, the team members give a brief safety talk on the boat and then explain the projects and the species of cetaceans, seabirds and other species of interest that can be seen along our coast. The aim of the trips is to try to find cetaceans during the day’s sailing. We will also be able to see seabirds and other species such as turtles, manta rays, ocean sunfish, etc.

Everyone will bring drinks and food for the day.

By sailing you will get to know better the marine species that inhabit our coast, surprisingly unknown to most people, and you will get to know our work first hand.

Included in the price

Explanations from the members of the NGO Cetácea about the association, its research projects and the marine fauna of the Catalan coast.
8-hour boat ride with skipper.
RC and accident insurance.

Who can perform this activity

People from 14 years of age must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
People from 18 years of age can do the activity alone.
The activities are subject to the professional judgement of the technicians in charge.
