FAQs
Is prior experience needed for the full descent?
No. The level is Introduction: normal fitness and the ability to swim is enough. The guide runs a thorough technical briefing in Llavorsí before entering the water. The duration demands stamina, not prior technical skill.
What does the included lunch consist of?
A full set menu at a local Pallars restaurant, at Montardit Campsite. The stop is built into the route, right on the riverbank, at the midpoint of the descent.
Is it safe to do the descent during the snowmelt season?
May and June are the best time for adrenaline seekers. The RocRoi team monitors water levels daily through the Hydrographic Confederation. If conditions exceed safety margins, we adapt the section or reschedule at no charge.
How does this descent differ from the Llavorsí–Rialp section?
This is the complete route: longer, more varied and with the Collegats Gorge as the final destination. It includes lunch, more hours on the river and two of the most technical rapids on the Noguera Pallaresa. For those who already know the classic section, this is the natural next step.
Can children take part in this descent?
The minimum age is 12 in spring, due to the duration and accumulated physical demands. For families with younger children, the Llavorsí–La Moleta or Baén–Collegats sections are the ideal option.
