View photos
The Pallars has three ways of making you feel the mountain: water, canyon and rock.
This pack brings them together in a single break, with RocRoi qualified guides from start to finish. First the river, as a team, inside the raft on the classic Noguera Pallaresa stretch. Then the canyon, hemmed between limestone walls, with long abseils and the Infern cave as its seal. And to close, the vertical: the Salt del Botanal via ferrata in Alins, Nepalese bridge and open views over the Vall Ferrera.
- Level 2–3, no previous experience essential
- Estimated total duration: full intensive day (2-day format) or half/full-day sessions (3-day format)
- Ideal for: groups of friends, active couples and families with teenagers wanting to combine water and mountain in one trip
📍 Meeting point: Hort de Rei s/n, C-13, km 140, 25595 Llavorsí, Lleida, Spain – View on map

What the experience feels like
Families with teenagers: a break that brings everyone together around three very different plans. The 3-day format is the most recommended for families: the rafting works as a friendly opener, the canyon is experienced as a block and the via ferrata closes with a sense of achievement.
Couples: a weekend or long weekend combining emotion, nature and moments of shared trust. 2-day format if time is short; 3 days if you want to squeeze the Pallars without rushing.
Groups of friends: rafting to loosen the group up, canyon to get stuck in and via ferrata to celebrate at the top. The intensive 2-day format works brilliantly for hen and stag dos, birthdays or reunions.

FAQs
What is the difference between the 2-day and the 3-day format?
The 2-day format packs everything in: Llavorsí–Rialp rafting in the morning and Barranc de l’Infern in the afternoon on day one, Salt del Botanal via ferrata on day two. It is the intensive option, ideal for groups with limited time and good fitness. The 3-day format assigns one activity per day (rafting, canyon, via ferrata), leaves room to explore the Pallars Sobirà in between and is the most comfortable option for families with teenagers and couples who want to enjoy without rushing.
Can I do the rafting and the Barranc de l’Infern on the same day?
Yes. The 2-day format is designed for exactly that: Llavorsí–Rialp rafting in the morning (approx. 2 h 30 including briefing and transport) and Barranc de l’Infern in the afternoon (approx. 4 hours including approach and descent). It is a long, active day: swimming ability, normal-to-active fitness and energy are essential.
Do I need previous experience in any of the three activities?
Not essential, but worth considering the profile of each. The Llavorsí–Rialp rafting is Level 2 (beginner-active), accessible with no experience. The Barranc de l’Infern is Level 3 in summer and Level 4 in spring (long abseils, optional sump, vertical environment): some experience or comfort with heights and rope is advisable. The Salt del Botanal via ferrata is K3 (intermediate): demanding but accessible with a guide. All three include a pre-activity technical briefing and a qualified guide at all times.
What is the minimum age for the pack?
With an accompanying adult, 12 in summer and 15 in spring, subject to flow and the professional’s judgement. Unaccompanied, 18. The activity that sets the floor is the Barranc de l’Infern (long abseils in a confined environment): if the minor does not meet its minimum age, it is better to book the rafting and via ferrata separately.
Is overnight accommodation included?
No. The pack includes the three guided activities only, with technical gear, briefing, qualified guide and insurance. Llavorsí, Rialp, Sort and the Vall d’Àneu have hotels, campsites and rural houses minutes from the RocRoi centre; our booking team can help if needed.
Is there transport between the activities?
There is no specific transport between the RocRoi centre and the Barranc de l’Infern trailhead or the Salt del Botanal via ferrata start in Alins. The Llavorsí–Rialp rafting does include return transfer from the centre to the river put-in. For canyon and via ferrata, travel is in your own vehicle (approx. 40 min to the canyon; similar to the via ferrata).
What happens if the weather prevents one of the three activities?
If flow or weather conditions are unsafe for any activity, RocRoi will notify in advance and offer a date change, an equivalent activity from the Pallars catalogue or a refund for the affected amount, in line with the current cancellation policy.
When is the best time to book the pack?
The Pallars white-water season runs from late March to early October. In spring (May and June) the Pyrenean snowmelt leaves the Noguera Pallaresa and the Barranc de l’Infern at their most exciting and demanding; in summer (July and August) both ease off and are the most recommended option for families and groups. The Salt del Botanal via ferrata is practicable throughout the season.
Can I book just one of the three activities?
Yes. Llavorsí–Rialp rafting, Barranc de l’Infern and Salt del Botanal K3 via ferrata are available as standalone products. The pack is the recommended option if you want to combine all three with a RocRoi guide and a single meeting point.
Note on activity delivery
Activity delivery and operational details may be adjusted based on flow and weather conditions. The RocRoi Booking team will contact the client in advance if the schedule needs adapting.
