The experience — Mountain Biking and Archery in the Montseny

Barcelona tarmac is tiring, and the gym routine even more so. This multi-adventure changes that in three and a half hours: compact-earth forest tracks in the Parc Natural del Montseny and, to close, a bow in your hand.

The activity starts at the activity centre in the Parc Natural del Montseny. The qualified instructor provides a mountain bike, helmet and a basic technical explanation before setting off. The level is beginner: the aim is to enjoy the scenery with measured effort, not to tackle an extreme mountain stage.

The route runs through holm-oak and cork-oak woodland, with shaded forest tracks and clearings with views of the Montseny massif — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The guide knows the area like the back of their hand and leads the way, setting the group's pace. Some climbs require effort, but the scenery makes up for it.

And at the end, a change of gear: the fenced archery zone. Professional equipment — bow, arrows and target — and a quick stance-and-technique class with a qualified instructor. The focus of the shoot closes the day — sweat first, steady hand second.

What the experience feels like

Families: a beginner guided mountain-bike route for families with children from age 12 who can already ride independently, with archery to close. The complete adventure near Barcelona.

Couples: three and a half hours of real activity in the Montseny: pedalling together, looking out at the massif from a forest clearing and finishing with archery. The tarmac-free weekend escape.

Groups of friends: the mountain bike + archery combo levels the playing field for everyone. A beginner route designed for enjoying the scenery, not for a mountain stage.
