FAQs
What is the difference from the 1-hour horse ride?
The 2-hour ride allows you to travel further from the starting point and truly enter the Pallars Sobirà valleys: forest tracks, crossings or edges of the Noguera Pallaresa and areas that one hour cannot reach. The level is the same (Discovery, suitable for beginners), but the route is more complete and gives more time to enjoy the scenery at horse pace.
Do I need previous riding experience?
No. The route is designed for complete beginners. Before setting off, the qualified instructor runs a basic instruction session — how to mount, how to hold the reins, how to steer the horse — and accompanies you throughout. The horses are used to first-time riders.
From what age can children take part?
From age 7 with an accompanying adult, at the instructor’s discretion based on the child’s height and independence. Unaccompanied, the minimum age is 18. For younger children eager to ride, we have an enclosed area for a first controlled introduction to the horses.
What clothing and equipment should I bring?
Long trousers and closed-toe sports shoes are essential for safety. RocRoi provides the helmet. Add sunscreen, a cap, sunglasses with strap and water. If it’s cool, a light jacket — we are in the Alt Pirineu.
What route will we follow during the 2 hours?
Routes run through nearby valleys, forest tracks and traditional bridle paths that cross or skirt the Noguera Pallaresa. The main pace is a walk; if the group is comfortable, the instructor may suggest a gentle trot on some sections. The route adapts to the group’s profile.
