Itinerary

During the off-road tour, you will explore the Bonanza marshes, an important ecosystem within Doñana, home to a wide variety of bird species. Some parts of these marshes are flooded with the tides, and you will also encounter two salt flats, which attract a significant number of water birds throughout the year. Flamingos are the most abundant and can be observed on all 4x4 routes. However, you will also have the opportunity to see other bird species such as grey herons, great egrets, little egrets, black-winged stilts, avocets, black-necked stilts, and cormorants, among many others. Other species that you may encounter during the tour include the short-toed eagle, osprey, and black or red kites. Within the Doñana Natural Park, there are more than 300 species, making it one of the most important protected natural areas in Europe. The Guadalquivir River, the Coto de Doñana on the opposite bank, and the salt flats are significant attractions that allow you to explore this corner of Doñana Natural Park in 4x4 vehicles. During the breeding season, the off-road tour extends to the La Algaida pine forest, where you can observe the nesting sites created by birds for breeding.
