La Fabriquilla Beach: 3h guided kayak and snorkelling tour in the Natural Park

In this adventure you will combine physical activity, such as sea kayaking, with the pleasure of enjoying and getting to know the magnificent Cabo de Gata – Nijar Natural Park from a unique perspective.

You will discover the cliffs of the Natural Park and its caves from the sea, aboard a kayak, it is an unforgettable experience, as many places and corners can only be seen from this small boat.

The kayak routes in Cabo de Gata are so special thanks to the fact that it is one of the Spanish natural areas affected by the greatest number of protection figures, both natural and cultural. These inscriptions are based on its geological, ecological, historical, anthropological and landscape richness.

Upon arrival at the meeting point*, and after distributing the equipment (waistcoat, paddle) and refreshments, the guides will give you a brief introduction to paddling, handling and safety in a sea kayak.

Once the tour begins, we will make small stops gradually spaced to rest and take the opportunity to explain curiosities and geological, biological and historical characteristics of what surrounds us.

During the tour, we will be able to enjoy the peculiar shapes that the volcanic cliffs of the Cabo de Gata coastline offer us, and we will visit navigable caves.

Other of the most capricious formations of the Natural Park and among which we will be able to navigate are the volcanic reef barriers.

A well-deserved rest halfway along the route, where we will have a swim, will give us the opportunity to regain strength, hydrate and refresh ourselves for the rest of the route.

*The final meeting point will be indicated by whatsapp the day before the activity, as it depends on the weather conditions for the day of the activity (it is essential that the phone you leave us is operational).
For days with an easterly wind it will be in La Fabriquilla or Agua Amarga.
For days with a westerly wind, it will be at Cala del Cuervo in Las Negras or Cala del Embarcadero in Los Escullos.
