FAQs
Is it dangerous if we have never rafted before?
No. The Ésera beginner stretch is designed for first-timers and families. The guide controls the raft at all times, the safety equipment — helmet, buoyancy aid and wetsuit — is sized for all ages and the class I–II rapids present no technical difficulty. It is the first descent of many families in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
From what age can children take part?
From age four with an adult companion. It is one of the most family-friendly rafting stretches in the Pyrenees: gentle rapids, kit sized for the youngest participants and a guide who adapts the pace to the group. The children are always the ones who want to do it again when it is over.
Will we be cold in the Pyrenean water?
No. We provide a two-piece wetsuit, cagoule, neoprene socks and boots that maintain body temperature even in meltwater from the Maladeta Massif. All equipment is included in the price.
What is the difference from advanced rafting on the Ésera?
The beginner stretch runs through the middle section of the Ésera with class I–II rapids, no prior technical experience required, suitable from age 4 with a companion. Advanced rafting passes through the Las Pirámides gorge with class III–IV rapids that require coordination, physical stamina and a minimum age of 17. If it is your first time, the beginner stretch is the starting point.
Is transport included?
Yes. Transport from the meeting point to the boarding point and the return transfer at the end of the descent are included in the price. You just need to get to Campo.
