Itinerary

If you’re looking to explore one of Andorra’s most beautiful trails, the hike to Estany Esbalçat, located in the parish of Ordino, is a perfect choice. This route takes you through high mountain landscapes, dense alpine forests, and scenic meadows, ending at a small mountain lake set in a stunning natural environment.

Start of the route:
Begin your hike at the marked access point in the Ordino area. The trail is a steady uphill climb, but not overly difficult, making it ideal for enjoying the walk at your own pace.

Along the way:
As you hike, you’ll pass through a variety of landscapes: first shaded alpine forests, then open meadows with wide views, and finally, a dramatic mountain setting.

Arrival at Estany Esbalçat:
At the lake, you’ll discover a peaceful, magical spot — a small body of clear water surrounded by peaks and rocky formations. It’s the perfect place to take a break, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the view.

Return:
After relaxing by the lake, return along the same path. The total hike takes around 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on your pace and stops.
