Tree adventure park in La Molina: zip lines and aerial circuits in the Cerdanya

The experience — the vertical forest of La Molina

Climbing trees takes on a different meaning when those trees are black pines in the Cerdanya and you are wearing a certified fall-arrest harness. The La Molina adventure park is a system of cables, platforms and zip lines installed deep in the ski resort forest, at 1,700 metres altitude. Four circuits, four intensity levels, one common logic: move through the trees and reach the end. The La Molina family zip lines have been the best-performing plan in the Cerdanya for mixed-age groups for years.

The activity begins at the meeting point inside the forest. The qualified instructors hand out equipment and deliver a ground briefing: how to fit the harness, how to use the locking elements and what the protocol is if anyone needs assistance at height. It is a brief, practical technical session designed so that everyone enters the first section without hesitation.

The circuits progress in height and difficulty. The green children’s circuit starts from age 3: short walkways, ropes and nets at low height where the youngest participants learn to move above the ground. The net circuit adds a different tactile dimension, with three-dimensional structures that test balance and coordination. The blue and red circuits raise the intensity: longer Nepalese bridges, vines, Tarzan jumps and obstacles that demand concentration.

But the 300-metre Super Zip Line is something else entirely. From the launch platform, the black pine forest opens out and the summits of Tosa d’Alp appear on the horizon. The flight lasts under a minute. The memory lasts considerably longer.
