Itinerary

The night paddle surfing route takes place at the Gabriel y Galán reservoir, in the region of Tierras de Granadilla, in the north of the province of Cáceres. The experience starts at sunset at the Centro de Innovación Deportiva El Anillo so you can watch the sunset and receive an introduction to the paddle technique and safety rules.

Once it gets dark, you will start the night crossing to one of the beaches of the reservoir, always guarded by a support boat and our expert guide. At this time of day, the reservoir becomes a calm sheet of water from where you will be able to observe the majesty of the celestial vault. You will admire the starry sky and the moon reflected in the water.

After 90 minutes of paddling you will return to “el Anillo” beach where you can enjoy a picnic of local products from Extremadura. You will also be able to observe the sky with the naked eye, as we will be in one of the Extremadura areas with the least light pollution. The difficulty of the activity is low, but it is designed for people over 16 years of age and no previous experience is necessary.

What to bring

Quick-drying swimming costume or synthetic lycra. Avoid heavy clothing that soaks through.
Water shoes that fit snugly to the foot, such as booties or water shoes.
Towel or bathrobe to dry off at the end.
Spare clothes and shoes for after the activity.
Bottle of water for hydration.
Energy snacks such as dried fruit or bars.

It is essential to know how to swim.
Minimum age for the activity: 16 years old (always accompanied by an adult).
Minimum age unaccompanied: 18 years old
