Guided hiking route that will show us the most Mediterranean Pyrenees and will make us enjoy spectacular scenery and views from the old town of Espluga de Cuberes. Between the Sierra del Boumort and the Collegats gorge we will go back in time and we will have the opportunity to visit towns full of history that once experienced an economic-social boom.

Itinerary

Our route begins right at the foot of the Salto de la Novia. From here we will walk about 150 meters along the track and then we will take a path that leaves on the right hand side and that will lead us to a first viewpoint from where we can see the entire Collegats gorge.

We will continue along the same path, clearly ascending, to reach an area where the path flattens out and the head of the Barranc del Infern begins to be distinguished.

Once we have reached this point, the path will begin a slight descent that gradually increases the slope until we see our objective, the town of L”Espluga de Cuberes, a place where they say that it is not reached by land or by air.

Soon we will arrive below the Espluga and we will only have to climb a short but intense slope that will leave us at the entrance of the cave.

Reservation and cancellation policy

If the reservation is made through a third party (travel agency, …) it is essential to present the voucher on paper upon arrival at the reception of the activity center.

Have an average physical condition (be able to walk for an hour without pause on uneven terrain)
