Cuenca: Guided paddle surfing route on the river Guadiela

This experience consists of navigating and descending the river on a paddle surf board, paddling with a paddle to steer the boat and propel yourself. This modality comes from practices from the roots of the Polynesian people.

Navigating and descending rivers visiting places that cannot be reached on foot is a unique opportunity to enjoy the environment of our rivers and their fauna and flora. We will stop to enjoy jumping over rocks up to 11 metres high using the canyoning technique. These routes alone or in the company of friends can be relaxing and unique moments or descending rivers with rapids can be exciting and fun.

To ensure everything is as comfortable and simple as possible, here are the steps to follow once you arrive at the designated meeting point.

Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting to welcome you. They will explain the next steps and answer any questions you may have before the activity starts.

Once you have received the instructions, we’ll ask you to drive your own car. You will travel along a well-maintained forest track for 5 kilometers until you reach the protected area of the Cañón y Hoces del Guadiela, where the kayaks are located and your adventure begins.

The kayaking activity will take place entirely on the beautiful Bolarque reservoir. It’s an ideal environment for the activity due to its tranquility and scenic beauty. When the activity is over, you will return the kayak to the same spot where you picked it up, which makes the process easy and allows you to return to your car without any hassle.
