Beginner kayak route on calm water, suitable with no prior experience: the guide teaches technique on land and accompanies the group throughout.
- Minimum age unaccompanied: 18 years
- Minimum age with adult: 2 years
- Total duration: 3 hours (equipment, boarding and landing included)
- Time on water: 3 hours
- Fitness and restrictions: standard. Swimming ability is mandatory. Not suitable for people with heart conditions, serious medical issues or back problems. Please inform the team in advance of any allergy, phobia or physical limitation.
- Mindset: come ready to paddle at a gentle pace and let the guide lead the way. The canyon does the rest.

What technical equipment is included in the price of the guided Guadiela excursion?
The price includes kayak rental (single or double), adapted paddle, certified high-buoyancy aid, qualified guide for the entire route, civil liability and accident insurance, a space in the private car park and use of the changing rooms at the end of the activity.
How long does the activity last and what if I have never paddled a kayak?
The route lasts 3 real hours on the water. No prior experience is needed: the guide explains paddling technique, steering and turning on land before you set off, and accompanies the group throughout the descent. The official level is Beginner (Level 2), suitable from age 2 with an adult.
What personal clothing and equipment do I need to bring?
Swimwear, a towel, sun cream and closed water shoes that hold the foot firmly and can get wet are compulsory (no loose flip-flops). It is recommended to bring water for hydration during the route and a dry change of clothes to use in the changing rooms afterwards.
How does this guided route differ from self-guided hire and the whitewater descent?
The guided route is Level 2 Beginner with a guide in the water throughout. Self-guided hire is Level 1 Discovery with no guide, self-led. The whitewater descent is Level 3 Adventure with Grade II-III rapids and thermal technical equipment. Three distinct products on the same canyon.
Why are the Guadiela waters turquoise?
The turquoise hues of the Guadiela canyon are directly linked to the karst limestone formations that line its walls. The effect is most intense at midday in clear conditions, and it is the most distinctive feature of this stretch of the river.
