Montserrat Natural Park: 4 h climb on the Cavall Bernat spire by the normal route

The conventional route that follows the route through Cavall Bernat, Montserrat’s most emblematic summit, is a must for you if you are interested in long-distance climbing routes. The Cavall Bernat is undoubtedly the most recognisable rock formation on Montserrat due to its distinctive silhouette. It offers a variety of climbing routes of different levels of difficulty.

The most outstanding route is the one that leads to the summit via its normal climbing route, which is accessible in terms of difficulty and has solid security. The normal route consists of four sections; the first, which also serves as an approach, provides a meeting point. The second section is the most challenging section of the route, a short and fairly polished, but well belayed flank. The final two sections offer a pleasant experience, and the reward is at the summit, where you can enjoy views and possibly catch sight of the Moreneta.
