Gabriel y Galán Reservoir – Cáceres

The Gabriel y Galán reservoir, located in Extremadura, is one of the most spectacular natural areas in the province of Cáceres. It is the largest reservoir in the region with a surface area of 7,500 hectares and a capacity of more than 3,130 cubic hectometres.

It is called ‘El Anillo’ because of a magnificent architectural work that you will find on a peninsula of the lake: the Centre for the Technification of Physical Sports and Leisure Activities. This building is made up of a central structure of 200 metres in diameter in the shape of a ring.
