If you have followed our publications this week, you’ve probably seen that we have shared images of kayak in Argentina. We have just started the spring-summer season there, and it is possible that anyone who does not know us well, has been surprised by this aspect of RocRoi. Today we tell you how we have arrived from Llavorsí to Argentina.
RocRoi is mainly known as an adventure sports company in Pallars Sobirà, in the Pyrenees. Established in 1996, we were pioneers to introduce adventure sports in the region and turning it into a lifestyle. We started offering Spring and Summer activities (rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, etc.) but little by little the offer has been expanded and diversifyed. The main goal of RocRoi then was to satisfy a growing demand for adventure activities, to transmit and to make known to our clients the sensations and experiences that adventure sports provide us. For this reason, RocRoi is much more that just a rafting company. We offer Winter activities both in Pallars and in Andorra, where we manage the snow and outdoor activities of Grandvalira ski resort, in Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa sector. And we also have a nautical activity center in Vilanova i la Geltrú, where we can offer sea activities throughout the year.
It is precisely the search for excellence, innovation and the highest quality that has led us to evolve and explore new horizons, beyond our land. Here we have one of the best rivers for whitewater sports, and we want to work on equally spectacular and unique sites. As a result of this constant search, we have now a base of activities in Argentina, where we practice kayak in the glacier Upsala, in the lake Argentino, and rafting in El Chaltén region. Our commitment to the environment has allowed us to access this protected region, a spectacular place where is really a pleasure to work in. We are equally proud of our presence in Greenland, in Ilulissat, where we practice kayak among the icebergs of the glacier Kangia, patrimony of the humanity. But let’s keep this for another post 😉
