On Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11 am you are all called to collaborate in the collection of waste from our beaches.
From 11h and until 12h30 we will meet to collect waste from the Ribes Roges Beach in Vilanova and La Geltrú.
Next, RocRoi Vilanova will rent kayak, big sup or rafting materials free of charge to all participants in the action until 2pm.
In addition, each of the attendees will receive a 30% discount for any adventure activity in one of our centers: Llavorsí, Lake Torrassa, Vilanova and La Geltrú and Andorra.
The European Waste Prevention Week will be held from November 16 to 24, 2019 and is an initiative that promotes the implementation of actions to raise awareness about sustainable resources and waste management.
Reduce, reuse and recycle are the three fundamental Rs to reduce the consumption of waste and single-use products, reuse the materials and products we use regularly and recycle the containers and waste we consume every day.
In 2020, 900% more plastics will be produced than in 1980. 500 billion plastic containers are produced every year. In Spain 50% of the packaging ends up in landfills. It is important that society becomes aware of the issue and we all begin to use materials of different uses over time in order to significantly reduce global pollution and global warming.
At RocRoi we are sensitized with projects that promote the improvement of the environment and the brake on climate change. We join the European Week of Waste Prevention by organizing a morning of waste collection and packaging and we would like everyone to come and participate with whoever you want.
