The snow is already falling. Our dog sleds in Grau-Roig are ready. The adjusted rackets for children and adults. Well-fed dogs. Anyway, everything is ready for day 2.

We are soooo excited for this to start that we have decided to help you plan your Christmas weekend.

What are you looking for? New experiences? Family plans? Plans as a couple? Or with friends? We have thought of everything. So don’t worry and keep reading.

Here is a list of five plans for a Christmas weekend in Andorra next month..

1. The giant nativity scene of Canillo

If you are in Andorra at this time, a must-see is this manger. With more than two hundred custom-made pieces that represent birth. You will visit the manger through the streets of Canillo; along Paseo Carlemany and the old town, in Plaza de Sant Cerni, next to the church, and you will see the flour mill on Calle Mayor. The nativity scene is located in the Santa Creu church, next to the old Prats royal road.

Visit it from December 3 to January 16 in Canillo.

2. Live the magic of the ‘Minairons’ in the forest of Pal

This Christmas visit the forest of the ‘Minairons’ in Pal; an enchanted forest with some very special guides who, throughout the tour, will explain anecdotes and stories about these curious beings of the Pyrenees.

During the course of the excursion it is important to be well equipped: warm clothes, mountain boots and a hat to cover the head from the cold.

3. Santa’s visit to Grau Roig, Grandvalira

Santa Claus arrives in Grau-Roig!

This is a very special experience for the little ones. You will cross the Montmalús forest until you reach the Piolet cabin. Once there, you will be able to dine with km.0 products and just at the end you will see Santa Claus and one of his elves appear on the mountain.

At that time, Santa Claus will stay with the children for a while so that everyone can deliver his letters to him.

This experience must be reserved in advance.

4. Activities in the snow with children in Andorra

Do you want to complement your getaway to Andorra and all these Christmas experiences with a family activity in the snow? If it is an outdoor adventure activity like snowmobiling in winter and suitable for all ages, we are here to help you find the best option!

Mushing or dog sleddingsnowmobiling, explorer routes with snowshoes in the mountains or building an authentic igloo in the snow.

If what you are looking for is adrenaline, you will find it on the snowmobile route in the Moretó forest, whether it takes 30 minutes or an hour. Explore snow-whitened landscapes in the forest with snowshoes and enjoy nature from another point of view. Venture on a dog sled on the different mushing routes that run through the valley with your little ones, your partner, your work buddy, whoever you want and whenever you want from December 2.

5. Visit to the La Massana chocolate factory

It is the turn of the sweet tooth. And what better than one of the most purchased products on your getaways to Andorra: chocolate.

Visit the first chocolate factory in Andorra, located in La Massana. During the visit, you will be able to learn the process of making chocolate; from the arrival of the cocoa bean to the chocolate bar that you buy in any supermarket.

You can book your guided tour any Saturday afternoon and the price per person is €5, except for children under 6 who have free admission.

With these five great plans that we have just explained to you and all the ones that you probably already had planned, you are going to run out of time during the Purísima bank holiday in Andorra!
