At RocRoi we have started working on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that the United Nations set in 2015 and that all countries committed to meet all of them by 2030.
The United Nations 2030 Agenda sets out 17 Goals made up of 169 goals of an integrated and indivisible nature that cover the economic, social and environmental spheres.
Among the goals we find to end poverty in the world, eradicate hunger and achieve food security. They also focus on ensuring a healthy life and quality education; achieve gender equality; ensure access to water and energy; promote sustained economic growth; adopt urgent measures against climate change; promote peace and facilitate access to justice.
At RocRoi we are striving to apply the 17 SDGs proposed by the UN as soon as possible in order to obtain the Biosphere Certified seal that will demonstrate that RocRoi works in its day to day to contribute to the fulfillment of the 169 goals of the 2030 Agenda.
We hope to be able to meet the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (17ODS) this year in order to contribute our bit to the new definition of the world to which we aspire for 2030. These goals apply to all nations and involve the entire planet , without leaving anyone behind.
Committed to sustainability
At RocRoi we have always tried to work and develop adventure activities in coherence and common sense with nature and the places around our activity centers.
We have manuals for the development of activities with the least possible environmental impact, we review them periodically and we apply improvements each year to our activities.
The quality control of the activities not only implies the opinions of our employees and clients, but also the level of commitment to the natural space that surrounds the center.
In addition to sustainability, other objectives that we are meeting are Health and Well-being thanks to an efficient management and adaptation of measures for the prevention of Covid-19 quickly; Quality Education thanks to the fact of sharing our knowledge with school groups and our clients; or Underwater Life thanks to the good management of our underwater life preservation processes (in what we can contribute) in our Vilanova i la GeltrĂș center.
We strive every day to continue working on the rest of the objectives and reach our goals as soon as possible. And we hope that there will be many more companies that carry out the same process in our country to be able to achieve the objectives before 2030.
