Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is an activity where you dive underwater equipped with specialised equipment to explore the underwater world. Using compressed air tanks, regulators, wetsuits and diving masks, you can breathe underwater and enjoy marine life up close.
To get started in scuba diving, it is important to receive proper training from a certified instructor. During the introductory course, you will learn breathing techniques, safety and equipment handling, as well as basic notions about marine life and the preservation of the underwater environment.
As for the necessary equipment, in addition to a wetsuit and a diving mask, you will also need a regulator, a compressed air tank, a buoyancy waistcoat and fins. It’s important to make sure all the equipment is in good condition and that you are comfortable with its use before you dive.
Spain is an ideal destination for scuba diving enthusiasts, with a wide variety of incredible places to explore underwater. The Mediterranean coast in particular offers some of the best diving in the country, with crystal clear waters and an abundance of marine life. Some of Spain’s best diving areas include the Canary Islands, with their stunning coral reefs and schools of tropical fish, and the Costa Brava in Catalonia, which offers spectacular underwater caves and rock formations.
